Film Screening in the SHED at the Whistle Art Stop, Haltwhistle

The Scale of Sustainability: A season of films and meeting exploring architecture, homes and community presented by the Whistle Art Stop as part of the Reel Green Pop-Up Cinema - a partnership between South Tyne Sustainability and the Haltwhistle Film Project.

6.30 A short film by Fintan Dawson

6.45 'The Source of Resilience' by Sabina Salli (30 mins) that uses myth and permaculture – a branch of ecological design with the ethos of working with, rather than against, nature – to explore the many facets of sustainability and our dynamic relationship with the natural environment'

7.15pm Refreshments

8.00pm 'Manufactured Landscapes' (2006) Dir. J Baichwal, Canada 90mins. Featuring the photos and videos of Edward Burtynsky this sparsley narrated documentary includes scenes of the kilometre long factory in China where 23,000 people produce most of the world's clothes irons.
