'Presencing Place' is the inaugural exhibition of a newly formed North East artist collective Land/Space/Place. The group is comprised of post-graduate research students and staff from Northumbria University and University of Sunderland, who have come together to explore convergent themes within their research projects that broadly investigate contemporary cultural uses of space.

The Whistle Art Stop's first Annual Conference will be held at Featherstone Castle on Tuesday 29th April 10 - 4pm with evening performances and art installations from 6pm.
Stephen Pritchard, Director of Dot to Dot, will chair the event and amongst our key speakers will be Alan Smith and Helen Ratcliffe from Allenheads Contemporary Arts; Yvonne Davies from Memesis and Alison Raimes from the Whistle Art Stop.
On Wednesday 30th April, the Nomadic Salon will continue the event by hosting a day of talks and presentations at the Castle to coincide with Lucy Livingstone's PhD show at the Whistle Art Stop.
The price is £10 per person (including refreshments and lunch) but this event is FREE to recent art graduates and those who have participated in the Whistle Art Stop Graduate Programme. Travel will be provided from Newcastle by Northumbria University for their post graduates and overnight stay is available for those participating in the Nomadic Salon on the 30th.
